Success of Supply Chain Risk Management

Today it was our pleasure to host a Virtual Roundtable for 16 Health & Safety Leaders across Australia with our partner Avetta. With COVID-19 taking a toll on everyone’s lives, roles, and routines it was great to swap war stories and hear how HSE Leaders are adapting to change.

Australian industries have a long history of regulatory oversight, reputation issues, price fluctuation, and a heavy reliance on contractors and suppliers. As the percentage of suppliers in the workforce continues to grow, finding qualified workers is increasingly difficult.

With the majority of at-risk work often being done by contractors, today more than ever, companies need to source safe workers, which helps to protect the corporate reputation and promotes business growth. Running a safe and sound operation can prevent billion-dollar mistakes and at the core of these relationships is trust.

Points discussed:
Best practices for expanding your supply chain with safe, qualified contractors

How companies protect reputation while maximizing profitability

What are lessons learned for improving health and safety performance from suppliers

How do you prepare and deal with price fluctuations while minimizing supplier risks
